Refund Policy
A structured view of eligibility windows, renewal grace rules, non-refundable cases, and the fastest way to route billing issues.
Updated July 23, 2026We want PubMonitor to be useful for you. If a paid plan is not the right fit, the policy below tells you what you can expect.
1. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (First Purchase Only)
If you purchase a Pro or Business plan for the first time and decide within 7 calendar days that PubMonitor is not the right fit, we will issue a full refund of the most recent payment, without requiring you to explain why.
The 7-day window starts at the time of the initial successful charge. To request the refund, contact support@pubmonitor.com from the email address associated with your PubMonitor account, with the order ID or transaction reference.
The guarantee applies once per customer, not once per account, and covers genuine evaluation of the service. Accounts showing systematic bulk extraction or automated access (for example, exhausting daily lookup quotas via scripted access, or bulk leaderboard scraping) are not eligible and are handled under our Fair Use policy (Terms §4b).
2. Renewal Charges
Subscription renewals (monthly or yearly) are not automatically eligible for the 7-day refund. However, if you notify us within 72 hours of a renewal charge that you intended to cancel, and the account has had no significant usage in the new billing period (no API calls, no exports, no downloads), we will issue a full refund of the renewal charge as a courtesy.
To avoid unwanted renewals, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep paid features until then.
3. Pro-Rated Refunds (Yearly Plans)
Yearly plan customers who cancel mid-cycle and have used the service significantly are not entitled to an automatic pro-rated refund. If you have an exceptional reason (extended outage on our side, account compromise, etc.), email us and we will review case-by-case.
4. Payment Issues, Duplicates, and Errors
Duplicate charges, charges for services not delivered, or charges resulting from a clear billing error are always refundable, with no time limit. Email support@pubmonitor.com with the transaction reference.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not refundable:
- Charges older than 6 months from the date of the request, except in cases of clear billing error (§4)
- Subscriptions cancelled after the 7-day initial-purchase window where significant usage has occurred
- One-time data exports or PDF reports that have already been delivered
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via the payment processor used for your purchase (Creem or Stripe, as shown on your receipt). Most refunds clear within 5–10 business days; some banks take longer. We will email you a confirmation when the refund is issued on our side.
7. Chargebacks & Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first. We aim to reply within 48 hours on business days. Initiating a chargeback through your bank without contacting us first will result in paid features being suspended while the dispute is investigated; your account remains accessible on the free tier and access is restored automatically if the dispute is resolved in your favor.
8. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction (including, where applicable, the EU Consumer Rights Directive's 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services that have not yet been fully performed).
9. Contact
All refund requests: support@pubmonitor.com. We aim to respond within 48 hours on business days.
