Methodology
Traffic and revenue figures on PubMonitor are modeled estimates built from public web data. PubMonitor has no access to any site's analytics or ad account.

1. Traffic Estimates
The date at the top is when this page was last edited, not a data release date.
Monthly visits on domain pages and leaderboards are modeled estimates from an upstream supplier. PubMonitor displays them as delivered; the supplier's model is not published here.
- Each figure covers one calendar month, labeled with its data month.
- A missing source estimate is not a measured zero. Some list fields store a missing estimate as 0, so a 0 in a list does not prove a site had no visitors.
- The figures estimate total monthly visits. A site's own analytics will usually report different numbers.
No confidence interval is published. When a decision needs a verified number, ask the site owner for first-party analytics.
2. Ad Revenue Benchmarks
AdSense Revenue Calculator (/tools/adsense-calculator) estimates display ad revenue from a content category, a visitor region and monthly pageviews. Monthly baseline is pageviews divided by 1,000, times the selected RPM benchmark. Annual baseline is the monthly baseline times 12, rounded down to the nearest $100.
Domain detail pages use the same RPM matrix with the domain's public traffic data. Within each region, the RPM is adjusted by the domain's visitor-country mix using country-level indexes. A mix typical for the region keeps the matrix value; a mix skewed toward higher- or lower-value countries moves it up or down within a bounded range.
When a domain has several content categories, up to three are blended and the primary category weighs most. Monthly baseline uses the latest traffic month, and projected annual is that baseline times 12. Observed-period estimates add up the observed months, up to the last 12, and are only annualized when labeled as a projection.
Website Earning Checker inputs. Pageviews per visit comes from the domain's engagement data; if that is missing, no default is filled in. The result lists each input's source, the RPM model or fallback used, and the benchmark date where known. The 0.5, 1 and 1.5 factors are scenarios, not confidence intervals.
Tool traffic history. How many months you see depends on your plan and on which months have been published. Missing months are shown apart from months with a recorded zero.
Limited history and coverage. If fewer than 12 months are observed after dropping zero-visit months, PubMonitor shows an observed-period or early estimate instead of a trailing 12-month one. When less than 30% of a domain's visitors can be mapped to countries, the estimate falls back to category or global benchmarks, and the card says so.
Limitations. PubMonitor has no access to publishers' ad accounts, invoices, invalid-traffic deductions, fill rate, ad layout, or private analytics. Actual earnings can be higher or lower depending on ad setup, demand, seasonality, device mix, traffic quality, and account-specific factors.
Calibrated against public industry benchmarks including Google's official AdSense earnings calculator. PubMonitor is independent and not affiliated with Google.
3. Publisher ID–Domain Relationships
Publisher portfolios come from an upstream AdSense publisher index, refreshed monthly. The live checking tools fetch public pages separately, so they can disagree with an older monthly record. The data month tells you which dataset a site came from, not when it was first or last seen.
A publisher ID (pub-xxxx) appears in the public code a site uses to serve AdSense ads. PubMonitor uses it to group sites into portfolios.
Ranking and cohort rules
Rankings sort sites in the AdSense publisher index by estimated traffic or registration date. They do not score quality.
- Domain Top: sites with estimated traffic in the selected month. Sorting by Visits or by Rank gives the same order, because both use estimated monthly visits.
- Domain Trending: sites whose estimated visits rose against the previous month, ranked by the number of extra visits. Changing the sort reorders the list without changing who is on it.
- Domain New: sites registered in the selected data month that also have a traffic estimate for that month. The date is the domain registration date, which can differ from when PubMonitor first saw the site.
- Publisher Top and New: publishers whose sites have combined estimated traffic above zero. New uses the most recent registration date among a publisher's sites in the selected data month, not the date a publisher ID was issued.
- Publisher Trending: publishers whose combined traffic grew month over month, with at least 1,000 combined estimated visits, ranked by growth rate. The domain Trending list uses the visit increase instead.
- Order and missing fields: the list follows the selected metric and direction; rows missing that metric go last. Ties are broken by domain or publisher ID. How many site names you can see depends on your plan.
- Category lists: Visits, Growth and Newest sort by estimated visits, visit increase and registration date, highest or newest first. A site can sit in several categories, so category totals cannot be added up.
Counts cover the selected filters and data month only. Sources and missing values are covered in the field provenance ledger.
4. Inclusion Rules
Every domain in the AdSense publisher index, including every domain ranking, was observed with an AdSense publisher ID (pub-xxxx). Counts describe this index, not all websites on the internet.
- Entry signal: a domain is linked to a pub-xxxx ID only when the ID shows up in its publicly served ad code or related public traces.
- ads.txt alone: an ads.txt declaration on its own does not place a domain in a portfolio. Declarations can be copied, resold or out of date.
- Monthly updates: new data usually appears around the 15th of each month and covers the previous month. Earlier months can still be opened by data month, within your plan's limits.
- Live checks: the checking tools look at what a site serves right now, separately from the monthly portfolio data. If a page is blocked or down, the check cannot tell whether ads are present.
Displayed publisher IDs on rankings are observed associations in this index. An observed ID does not confirm that a website is currently serving AdSense ads. A shared ID is not proof of common ownership.
5. WHOIS & Registration Data
WHOIS data shown on domain pages is fetched from public WHOIS endpoints. For domains registered under EU TLDs (and other GDPR-applicable extensions), we redact registrant name, email, phone, and address fields. Non-PII fields (registrar, registration date, expiration date, name servers) are shown when available.
6. Collection Behavior
The monthly publisher data is collected upstream. The live checks on this site fetch only publicly served pages and do not get past paywalls, logins or other access controls. To ask for a listed domain to be reviewed, email support@pubmonitor.com.
7. Update Cadence
Most metrics update monthly. Domain Rating and Wayback Machine snapshots follow their own sources' schedules. Each domain page labels how fresh its data is.
8. AI-Generated Domain Summaries
Some domain pages show a short summary of the site, in several languages. The summaries are written upstream by an AI model and stored; opening a page does not generate a new one.
- Stored text: PubMonitor shows the stored summary as written and does not edit or verify it. This site does not invoke an LLM at request time.
- Inputs: the domain name and the site's public metadata. Visitors cannot send prompts.
